Mary Hayes began her love of art at a young age. She was recognized early on for her natural abilities. Encouraged by her teachers, she was given numerous art classes offered at museums and independent art schools. This led to her formal education, resulting in a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art with Cum Laude Honors. During college, an interest in photography was sparked and once she began working with the camera, Mary knew that she had found a visual expression for her love of people and nature. Professionally, Mary has over sixteen years of experience, with twelve years of specific focus on weddings. Mary currently serves in an advisory capacity for the Maitland Art Center, teaches self enrichment classes and is quite involved with her 2 children, Forrest Gabriel and Summers Rose.

"Often asked about my style of photography, I consider it to be a successful blend of traditional/formal and artistic/photojournalistic. Most occasions call for both styles which I do in a relaxed and fun way. I work diligently and unobtrusively to capture all of the special moments as they occur.

It is an honor to do this work. Every photo shoot and every wedding is a wonderful, new opportunity to create art. By combining a true artist's eye and a genuine passion for our work, I am able to create meaningful photographs to last a lifetime"







Gloria Sutton, Associate Photographer, has worked with Mary for the last 5 years, artistically capturing both the small and large details of each event. Her experience includes working at a professional studio, photographing engaged couples, families and children. Gloria brings a sweet presence to every photo shoot - gentle, insightful, and creative. Numerous times, she has captured the face of a proud and excited groom, as he watches his bride begin her walk down the aisle. And as the mother of 4 children, she is brilliant at capturing the innocence of a child's expression, or that of a reflective mother. Examples of Gloria's work can be found here


Kelly Welch, Associate Photographer, worked in commercial photography
labs for 6 years and has worked with Mary for 3 years. Inspired by her grandfather, an award winning photographer, Kelly enjoys photographing weddings,children and friends. Kelly has a BA degree in Liberal Studies. She brings to MHP a quick mind, a good spirit, and a wonderfully creative perspective. Examples of Kelly's work can be found here.



Thea Portigiani, Photography Assistant, has worked with Mary since August of 2007. She is a wonderful addition to the photography team, helping both behind the scenes and on location. With over 10 years as a floral designer, including wedding designs, Thea brings creativity and a trained eye to her work. She is organized, hard working, dedicated and friendly.




After a yearlong search for the right web designer, my path finally crossed with Vanessa Howell's. What a delight! From the beginning, Vanessa has honored my vision and intent and gone on to exceed my expectations. Vanessa has a wonderful sense of design and is very creative. Her kind and gentle spirit have made this overall project such a joy.

Always enthusiastic about design, Eli has been instrumental in adding new features and making significant updates to the site. Her love for digital design started when she began making music videos on a Commodore64 back in the 1980's. Eli found her niche in college studying animation and digital design, learning film techniques and HTML coding, and studying fine art.
